My life is defined by authenticity, community, and presence. I grew up surrounded by a large family with a strong sense of community. The value of showing up and gathering with intention is ingrained in my being. Sunday evenings become magical through the tradition of family dinner. Underpaid gigs become invaluable memories when the audience comes alive, dancing and singing along. A hair appointment becomes a thought-provoking, pivotal moment through conversation with my beloved stylist. These are the moments I have experienced the true meaning of gathering. It always comes down to the people who are willing to show up authentically. I show up shining my vivid colors. I love unconditionally. I feel deeply and find poetry in the perceived ordinary. I listen with my eyes, ears, heart, and body. I express through pen, voice, needle, and thread. I recognize true beauty, and actively create more of it in our world.
